Freelance Photography Project: OCS Honor PULSE Orlando Employees, First Responders
PULSE Orlando Photography Project – OCS Pre-Game
The attack on the PULSE nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016 hit close to home for many local residents. My office is just two blocks from the club and I’ve passed the site dozens of times. I’ve taken hundreds of photos related to the PULSE Orlando attack, largely as a way to cope with the events as well as to document what I personally saw and experienced in the days and weeks after the tragic event.
This is the first part of my PULSE Orlando Photography project where I attended the first Orlando City Soccer home game after the attack occurred. The pre-game ceremony was used to honor and recognize survivors of the attack, PULSE Orlando employees and the many heroic first responders, police, fire, EMT, physicians, nurses and other hospital staff that saved so many lives that tragic Sunday morning. Here are a few of the photos from the pre-game held on June 18th, 2016 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL.
