The Story Behind the Orlando Health Proton Beam Facility
When it comes to cancer care, providing the right treatment for the patient is absolutely critical for positive outcomes. Organizations use a variety of techniques and technologies to achieve this, and one of the most advanced is proton beam radiation.
Proton beam radiation provides a way for radiation oncologists to hyper-target only infected cancer cells while sparing other nearby health cells. This can be a critical treatment option for patients with cancers in very sensitive areas of the body, such as the brain, as well as for pediatric cancer patients.
The UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health opened their new proton beam facility in 2016 and I was there for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting event. Here are a few of the photos I took from this momentous occasion.

Let's Chat
You know what I love? I love chatting with like-minded professionals about almost everything related to marketing & technology (and especially where the two intersect). You know what I don't like? Alligators and people asking me to buy something from them.
