The holidays are my favorite time of year. From Thanksgiving to New Year's Day, I love everything about this time of year.
I love the cooler (but not cold) weather in Florida.
I love Thanksgiving Day feasts and open-faced hot turkey sandwiches the day after.
I love ringing in the new year with friends and family each year.

Seaworld is our Christmas Tradition
Visiting Seaworld Orlando during the Christmas season has become a family tradition for us for the past 4 years or so. We purchase annual passes each year and usually visit a couple times a month - my wife and the boys especially.
Seaworld's "holiday" celebration is a bit different than other theme parks, though. They actually call theirs "Christmas", which seems somewhat bold given that many companies are trying to genericize (that's a word - I'm a dad) the holidays so as to not offend or exclude anyone.
I understand the need to be inclusive, especially as an entertainment brand. I love all cultures and all faiths and value their beliefs. But the more we remove the reason that many of us celebrate "the holidays" from this time of year, the less meaning they seem to have.
I get that by calling it a "Christmas" Celebration, Seaworld may actually be turning some people off. The Seaworld parks have suffered as of late due to the Blackfish documentary that came out in 2013. I've seen protesters outside the front gates with my very own eyes. I think they're doing a brave thing by calling their celebration a Christmas Celebration.
My family and I choose to visit Seaworld for their Christmas Celebration, not because they call it Christmas, but because it has meaning to us as a family and doesn't exclude the reason why we're celebrating this time of year.
I don't think Seaworld actively caters to Christians. But I also appreciate that they chose to name their holiday celebration "Christmas".

Must-See Seaworld Christmas Attractions
Seaworld Orlando offers a number of seasonal shows and attractions during the month of December as part of its Christmas Celebration. Here are a few of our favorite attractions during this celebration. These shows keep us coming back year after year.
O Wondrous Night
This is, hands down, the best Christmas show in Orlando. Not only are the show performers top-notch, but there are also live animals involved and even puppets for the little ones. It may sound like a strange combination, but trust me - you don't want to miss this show!
Elmo's Christmas Wish
Seaworld has character shows year-round in their Orlando park. The Elmo show during the Christmas Celebration is especially great for young children, as the characters interact with and even come out into the audience during the show.
Shamu Christmas Miracles
Held in their large open-air stadium, the Shamu Christmas Miracles show is a family favorite Seaworld has been running for a few years as well. The show combines a Christmas theme with the amazing orcas & their fantastic jumps and flips. Even the saxophone player that entertains the audience before the show starts is good!
Winter Wonderland on Ice
This show is one of my wife's favorite as it about as close as we'll come to seeing the Olympic Winter Games figure skating competitions. The show is set in the outdoor stadium area and includes figure skating set to classic Christmas music. Get your seats early so that you're not too high up in the stadium seating.
